Program Overview

Audience Engagement Testing is the first step in building a long-term partnership. The program gives brands a fast, low-risk way to explore new channels while gathering real insights that guide smarter decisions. Instead of relying on assumptions, this proof of concept creates a practical foundation for new opportunities and just as importantly, helps identify what is not working early on.

The process starts by selecting which channels to test and completing a simple integration. Products are listed, pricing stays at or above MAP, and daily order limits keep exposure in check. Throughout the program, we handle account setup, compliance, customer support, reporting, and returns, while brands keep inventory accurate and fulfill direct-to-consumer orders within two business days.

Desired Outcomes

Channel managers receive live analytics that show how shoppers engage with products. From browsing behavior to actual purchases, category managers gain a clear picture of performance.

Brands discover the channels where demand is strong to allocate inventory and as well as seeing where products resonate most with shoppers. This guides smarter marketing, channel development and planning.

eDots identifies partnership opportunities with brands showing potential on approved channels. This ensures resources are allocated to full-scale launches with realistic forecasts based on insights discovered during testing.

Roles & Responsibilities

eDots

  • Act as merchant of record on marketplace accounts.
  • Pay marketplace referral fees.
  • Support setup of Carro’s Modern Dropship integration.
  • Build compliant product mapping templates.
  • Optimize listings for performance.
  • Ensure order data submission functions properly.
  • Handle customer inquiries and returns (RMAs).
  • Manage marketing and promotions.
  • Manage marketplace accounts and compliance.

Brands

  • Maintain accurate inventory across systems and partners.
  • Provide additional product content if required.
  • Fulfill orders within 2 business days.
  • Cover shipping costs for outbound orders and returns.
Program Details

Channel Selection
Brands select which sales channels to join. Options range from alternative commerce platforms in the Carro network to major retailers including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Target+, Nordstrom, and many others.

Listing Prices
Products are listed at or above MAP. Any request for discounts below MAP is reviewed carefully and only moves forward with brand approval.

Order Limits
Order volume is capped at 5 to 10 per day per channel. The limit ensures insights are gathered while minimizing brand and channel exposure.

Returns
30-day policy for unused, resellable items. At program end, returns are shipped back or donated. Return volume is minimal with limited orders.

Payments
The recommended revenue share during testing is 20 to 30 percent. Invoices are paid on Net 30 terms from shipment, with high-value items eligible for Net 14 terms.

Duration
Testing runs for up to two months. This timeframe provides meaningful performance data while keeping commitments short and flexible.
